Gray Waves
Took Jonas up for his first multipitch climb.
Oddly, I've been on this route several times, but this is the first time I've actually climbed the Gray Waves route completely. Last year, I lost the route on the end of the second last pitch and did some scary unprotected 5.4 to the top.
We finished in the dark, but had fantastic weather. As I was going to take the final picture of Jonas coming to the top, I pulled my camera out of my pocket, which opened the battery case and spilled 2 AA cells down the cliff. These likely joined Jonas' ATC at the base of the climb where it landed a few hours earlier.
But I had my iPhone, and as Cullen mentioned a while back "the best camera for taking pictures is the one you have with you".
