2012
The annual trip to Europe wasn't exclusively focused on Hamburg, but at least 50% of it was. We took in the Museum fuer Hambburgische Geschichte (basically the history of Hamburg), the Dom (which was but is no longer a holy place), we went canoeing, we went to one of those climbing adventure parks, and Monika baked a cake. Then we went north to the Baltic coast, where we baked in the sand, visited some viking ruins (Haithabu/Hedeby), Bad Segeberg (where they have caves and bats and a long running outdoor theatre program portaying the works of Karl May). Our friends Roberto, Laura and Allesandro visited from Italy making the trip even more fun.
